In Science, we have been learning about the habitats in Georgia. We put on our boots this past week and explored the wetlands. We discovered the importance of a habitat. Habitats are homes to many plants and animals. The wetlands help prevent flooding and actually clean our drinking water.
The students enjoyed creating a marsh to verify that it is just like a sponge. A marsh is a vital habitat that absorbs extra water to prevent flooding and does clean the water as well.
