Wetland Habitats
Create your own slideshow |
In Science, we have been learning about the habitats in Georgia. We put on our boots this past week and explored the wetlands. We discovered the importance of a habitat. Habitats are homes to many plants and animals. The wetlands help prevent flooding and actually clean our drinking water.
The students enjoyed creating a marsh to verify that it is just like a sponge. A marsh is a vital habitat that absorbs extra water to prevent flooding and does clean the water as well.

In Math we have been working with geometric figures. We now can identify and explain the properties of fundamental geometric figures by looking at the sides, angles, vertices's , and faces. We enjoyed exploring with geometric figures and are looking forward to skyping Mrs. Spurlin's Kindergarten Class at Frank Long to share what we have created with geometric shapes.
